On October 4th, TEC Corp, Thompson Electric, Electric Innovations and Thompson Automation and Specialty Services offices in Sioux City, IA., all participated in the Iowa – Healthiest State Walk. This is the 7th annual Healthiest State Walk and this is the 4th year that TEC, TE, EI and TASS have taken part in the walk. This year, we had 14 healthy minded employees participate in the walk. Jordyn Salem was the coordinator for this year’s walk and did an outstanding job in getting 14 employees to walk for 30 minutes.
The initiative started to help make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation. Over the years the interest has grown from Iowans in making communities more walkable, incorporating biking and transit into transportation plans and launching walking school buses so children can walk or bike safely to school.
